The 67th Real Group Yeppoon Show with the theme ‘Beef2Reef’ to be held on Saturday and Sunday June 4 and 5, is promising to live up to its reputation as one of the best country shows in Queensland as final preparations fall into place.

Show President Ken Landsberg said the grounds are in perfect condition and every bit of space will be taken up with a large variety of rides for all ages, sideshow alley, food and variety sites as well as lots of free entertainment.

“We are inviting the community to register their displays of local arts, crafts and produce now, as we anticipate a huge amount of interest this year,” Mr Landsberg said

“Competition events will again showcase the talents of wood chopping, horses, and cattle in the center ring.

“I am particularly pleased with the interest shown in the Horse, Cattle and Woodchop sections and everything is pointing to record entries both in the ring as well as the Pavilions.

“We are expecting to see cattle, young judges and young parader entries to be the best ever this year.

“It has been a tough couple of years with COVID restrictions so we are all looking forward to staging the best show we can for our region.”

Mr Landsberg said in the entertainment program you can catch both favorites and some debuts at the Saturday Spectacular Night Show, interactive animal exhibits and workshop demonstrations.

“The Yeppoon Show 2022 is set to be our best yet with our planning, slowly but surely, falling into place thanks to all the dedicated volunteers working behind the scenes,” he said.

The show will feature a full line-up of free non-stop entertainment from when the gates open at 8am on Saturday to the close of the show on Sunday at 5pm including the Airtime FMX motorbikes stunt show, fashion parades, petting zoo, sand sculpting Workshops, Berkley Super tank fishing show and cooking demonstrations.

Saturday night will feature the Keppel Bay Sailing Club and MMM sponsored show with a host of talented local performers including the St. Brendan’s Indigenous Dancers, Aussie Cheer and Dance and Janelles Academy of Dance.

The Breakaways will be the feature band for good family entertainment.

The show will finish at 8pm after Mr Fireworks International lights up the sky.

Entertainment will continue all day on Sunday with one of the highlights being a spectacular Grand Parade at 1.30pm.
