MACKEYVILLE — The 49th annual Clinton County Fair has begun!

This year’s fair will feature many shows, auctions, food vendors and events for all ages.

Today is First Responders Day. The day will include open animal shows, first responders exhibit from 1 pm to 5 pm, crowning of the 2022 Clinton County Fair Queen at 3:30 pm, a chili cook-off at 3:30 pm and much more. Live music will be played tonight by Nashville Music from 6 pm to 8 pm Sunday’s big events are the 4×4 truck pulls hot classes at 11 a.m., and the Clinton County Youth and FFA beef and dairy beef show at noon.

Monday’s big events include the Clinton County Youth and FFA sheep show at 11 a.m. and the rabbit show at 5 p.m., baking contests and the baked goods auction at 6 p.m. There will be live music from Flashback at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. , and Queen of Hearts at 8 pm

Tuesday will be Pennsylvania Lottery and Senior Citizen’s Day. The big events will include free senior bingo at 11 am, Joey Vincent Show at 2 pm and 6 pm, the Sizzling Seniors Talent Show at 3 pm, square dancing with Wes Lomison at 7 pm and horseshoe pitching from 7 pm to 8:30 pm

Wednesday will be Kiddies Day. The big events will include kiddies day activities for kids of all ages, model horse shows, the Clinton County Youth and FFA goat show at 3 pm, the horse grooming and clean contest at 6 pm and racing at the Clinton County Speedway at 7 pm There will be featured live music from Classic Rock Revival at 6 pm and 8 pm, and from Independent Rock Project at 7 pm and 9 pm

Thursday is the Clinton County Community Foundation Day and Junior Fair Board Day. The big events will include the Clinton County Youth and FFA poultry show at 9 am, the pedal power tractor pull show at 7 pm and horseshoe pitching (qualifying rounds) from 7 pm to 8:30 pm There will be live music from Adam Calvert from 7 pm to 8:30 pm

Friday will be Veteran’s Day. Admission is free to all veterans with proper IDs. The big events will include the open dairy show at 10 pm, the veterans program at 4:30 pm, open gaming horse show at 6 pm and racing at the Clinton County Speedway at 7 pm There will be live music from The Swingtime Dolls from 8 pm to 9:30 pm

Saturday Aug. 6 will include big events such as the antique bracket pulls at 11 am, the 17th annual Fairground Parade at 12:30 pm, Strut Your Mutt Fashion Show at 1:30 pm, Dan and Galla Variety Show at 5 pm and 8 pm, and much more. There will be live music from Twitty & Lynn — A Salute to Conway and Loretta at 7 pm and 9 pm Fireworks will be shot off at 9:30 pm at the speedway.

Exhibits and Commercial Buildings are open daily during the fair from 10 am to 10 pm
